  2. Good morning Sam! Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey programme. We are thrilled that you have joined us this year!

We hope that you will continue to blog with us over the holiday and share your great learning. I can see that you have already learned a lot about Maui. I did not know that Maui fished up the south island with his waka as well as the north. Thanks for sharing this information with me!

I would love to know more about Maui. I will have to go and read more about him. Speaking of reading, do you have a favourite book about Maui?

Keep up the great work, Sam!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)

  4. Kia ora Sam,

Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey for 2017-2018! My name is Emiely (pronounced "Emily") and I am a blogger at the Summer Learning Journey. I like the way you added a title page to your work so it is clear what activity you are doing. This helps me a lot! It also makes your blog post look very interesting.

I think Maui must have had to be a very strong person to be able to catch a fish that turned into the North Island... It must have been HUGE! What kind of person do you think Maui is?

Fantastic start to the Summer Learning Journey, Sam. I look forward to reading more of your blog posts.

    Noho ora mai,
    Emiely :)
